Architectural & Development Review Committee
Better known by its abbreviated name, the Architectural Board of Review (ABR) reviews plans for new projects in Mission Canyon. The purpose of the review is to identify potential design problems prior to plan submission at the County level. The ABR works cooperatively with applicants to create projects which meet County building and zoning criteria, and at the same time contribute to the character and quality of the Mission Canyon neighborhood.

Meetings are held at 4 pm at the McVeigh House library, behind the Natural History Museum. Tom Jacobs, AIA (pictured), chairs the ABR (phone 898-8004). Other ADRC members are: Tim Steele, Dennis Allen, Dan Upton, Joyce McCullough, and Tom Simmons.
Applications should be submitted to the ABR accompanied by a $145.00 check payable to the Mission Canyon Association, to cover processing fees and neighbor notification. (Small projects which do not require neighbor notification are $75.00) Plans, drawings and photos should be delivered to Mr. Jacobs' offices at 839 Mission Canyon Road to assure prompt placement on the ABR Agenda.
Review of projects is on a first-come, first-served basis. ABR meetings are scheduled so as not to conflict with County BAR meeting dates.
